Diesel Air Heater Autoterm 2D-HA comes with a controller, basic installation kit and Operational Manual. The heater is equipped with a self-adjusting system for operations at high altitudes (up to 2500 m / 8200 ft!)

This version is designed / powered to heating up to 35 ft. power boats / 40 ft. sailboats, commercial trucks, buses, vans and motorhomes.

As per the instruction manual, the heater has to be connected directly to the battery to avoid any voltage drops/surges. NO Alteration to the wiring harness is permitted.

CONTROLLERS OPTIONS :
  • Manual Controller (PU-5) : The standard controller for the diesel air heater PLANAR 2D. Allows simplified heater control in “POWER” mode. Also provides a “VENTILATION” mode – air supply with no heat.

  • Advanced Digital Controller (PU-27) : The advanced controller for forced air heaters Planar/Autoterm 2D, Planar 44D, and for the hydronic heater BINAR/Autoterm 5S. Allows for various settings including a 7-day timer, air or coolant temperature setting, and operational parameters monitoring. It will allow you to set a timer to turn on unit but you must manually turn the heater off.

  • Touch Screen (PU-28) : Allows various settings including 7-day timer, air or coolant temperature setting, operation time, operational parameters monitoring; 3 in. touch screen.

will never go back to propane

Diesel is the way to go for sure. We had a propane heater for a while and we weren't happy with all the condensation so someone suggested to buy a diesel heater. We found Expedition Upfitter through google and bought this one with the manual controller. It's been perfect for us- no complaints.
