Why should you choose a Diesel Heater?

Why should you choose a Diesel Heater?

When it is warm you can have enjoyable days on the road or at sea. But what if you must make that trip in the cold? What if your business depends on it? The cold weather should not mean that your travel will be in uncomfortable conditions. To ensure your comfort, you will need to consider a heating option for your vehicle or marine vessel. The Diesel Heaters by Planar is just what you need.

WHAT IS A PLANAR DIESEL HEATER & HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Diesel Heaters by Planar are designed to provide instant heat to the interior of your cars, vans, trucks, motor-homes, sailboats, powerboats or yachts.

In a diesel air heater, the air for the heater’s internal combustion process is drawn from an external intake pipe. It is then passed into the heater’s

Planar diesel truck kitcombustion chamber where it is mixed with the diesel and automatically ignited to heat up the large surface area of a heat exchanger. An internal blower will then draw cool air from the cabin past the heat exchanger. There it is heated and blown back into the cabin. The combustion exhaust gas is vented outside through an exhaust pipe.

Here are three reasons we recommend you choose the Diesel Heater Planar:

1. SAFETY

Our Diesel Heaters by Planar are completely safe for use. There is no risk of damage from overheating as our diesel heaters will automatically shut down if the temperature ever exceeds that of the design specifications.

Also, you never need to worry about the risk of combustion or inhalation. The combustion chamber is completely sealed, and all exhaust is vented outside. For those who are spending the night on the road or at sea, not only is our diesel heater safe to use while operating the vehicle or vessel but it can also be used while you sleep as there is no possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning.

2. SUPERIOR HEATING PERFORMANCE

Especially if you are planning to travel in freezing cold conditions, the Diesel Heater Planar is your best bet for superior heating performance. With extremely low fuel and power consumption, the Planar heater is a very cost-effective solution.

Some fuels do not burn well at certain temperatures and will produce ‘wet heat’ leaving you with unwanted and uncomfortable humidity and condensation. When you opt for one of our diesel heaters you will be provided with a clean dry heat compared to other heating options.

3. TEMPERATURE CONTROL & QUIET OPERATION

With the Planar Diesel Heater, you can easily keep the temperature in your vehicle or vessel at a constant desired level. This is because the latest diesel heater technology uses microprocessors to control combustion and airflow. Additionally, our diesel air heater will operate very quietly, once it is properly installed.

Even though diesel heaters may be a significant investment, being able to operate your vehicle or vessel all year round in absolute comfort, convenience and safety makes the investment completely worth it. At Expedition Upfitter you will find the most cost-effective products with various heater control options.

After all, you deserve to travel in comfort regardless of the weather conditions.

Just curious what you recommend for fuel ( winter, additives) to keep it from gelling?, will be using it for hunting in October in Alberta, or can I just use regular summer fuel or 50/50 kerosene mix? Thanks
